We are overwhelmed and overjoyed by the fibre arts community’s response to our instructor call. We received 45 applications for instructor spots at #KYAFF2019 and we are looking forward to reviewing them all in early November so that we can get your class selections out to you before the holiday season, just in case you’re looking for a gift for the maker in your life!
We have a variety of class applications this year including knitting techniques, spinning, weaving, rug hooking, needle punch, felting and dying. No matter what the skill you’re looking to pick up is, we are bound to have something for you!
Some important things to note:
All class fees will include admission at no additional cost. Anyone who has registered for a class is able to enter the festival through the “prepaid” line and get express entry.
Some classes will start at 9:00 am which is before the festival opens. Because we hope to offer a large number of classes, we do suggest that you arrive no less than 15 minutes ahead of your scheduled class start time to ensure you have time to get through the express line and get settled in your class room. If your travelling companions are not taking a class they will not be admitted until the official opening time of 9:30 am. Please plan accordingly.
Because of how Eventbrite fees and taxes are calculated, materials costs cannot be included in your class fees but we will make sure this is 100% clear and what you can expect for kit costs on the day of the event. You should see this noted in bold in the class description on Eventbrite.
We couldn’t be more excited or more grateful for the response! Watch the blog, your email and Facebook for class announcements in the next couple of weeks!
